We have a large number of committed and
dedicated volunteers, without whom we couldn't provide the high
quality service to our members. Our volunteers are drawn from all
walks of life: teachers, advertising executives, town planners,
students and IT experts to name just a few.
Professional development is key to the success of Squad. It raises our skill level, strengthens our relationships with each other and gives us focus as a team. It is crucial to creating a youth club that is enjoyable and beneficial to volunteers and members alike.
Squad volunteers are able to get involved in all sorts of ways, developing leadership skills through running weekly activities, co-ordinating events and holidays or using creative talents to organise arts and crafts, music and dance activities.

We are always looking for new people who will bring a sense of
fun to the group and who will be passionate about giving our
members the best quality support and opportunities. If you can come
along on Thursday nights, that's great! If not, you may like to
become a trustee and help run the charity. Or perhaps you would
like to run a fundraising event, or help at Funky Friday. All you
need is enthusiasm, energy and a sense of humour.
And if you are a young person with a learning disability who lives
in the London Borough of Merton, or if you know someone who is and
you think they'd benefit from joining, please contact us.
